*The "Red Hat" brand \(and badge\) is being dissolved some more today*

"Today the "badge" says IBM," Thomas Wilson said two hours ago \(above\)\. "The team is still here\. The work continues\. And I’m excited about what comes next\."
But the role changed, there's lots of slop \("hey hi"\) dross or filler, and everybody at IBM knows what PIPs and RA come next\.
It's not hard to see that the vast majority of redhat\.com blog posts sell slop, not Linux\. It helps inflate the share price without accomplishing anything of substance\. It's "fake work", just like slop\. It cheats the shareholders, but for how much longer?
Red Hat's "way" or "culture" or "open source org" is going away, step by step \(one step at a time\), and some people altogether quit today \(or yesterday\), not only in Red Hat[but also Nordcloud](https://techrights.org/n/2026/09/30/It_Looks_Like_Mass_Layoffs_at_Nordcloud_an_IBM_Company_Today_a_.shtml)\. Some receive money to leave 'voluntarily'\.\.\.
The quantum \(vaporware\) teams are going "the way of the Kyndryl" via[Anderon](https://techrights.org/n/2026/09/30/IBM_s_Anderon_as_a_Mass_Layoffs_Ritual_With_a_Bailout_From_US_T.shtml)\.
IBM is imploding 'creatively'\.[█](https://techrights.org/n/2026/10/01/Red_Hat_Being_Phased_Out_of_Existence_Like_Many_Other_Companies.shtml#top)

Dozens of Red Hat packages were backdoored through the company's official NPM channel using the Shai-Hulud worm, which compromised Red Hat's CI/CD pipeline via GitHub Actions OIDC. Red Hat has removed the malicious packages and stated they were internal only, but the attack underscores escalating supply-chain risks.
