Last week in Los Angeles, independent filmmaker Jeff Synthesized was named the grand prize winner for[The Gifted](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yivXyWCaEc8)\. Inspired by a deeply personal story, the film centers on an 11\-year\-old boy who recreates his late mother’s voice and essence out of love and code\. What emerges across the town’s networks quietly cares for his entire community — reflecting the filmmaker’s belief that technology’s greatest promise lies in empathy and human connection\. Chosen from more than 2,500 entries worldwide, the solo\-developed project receives $100,000 alongside $2\.5 million in feature production funding\. Through Google’s 100 ZEROS initiative, we are partnering with Range Media Partners to help bring this story to the big screen\.
