No wonder I’ve been following this professor on Xiaohongshu for two or three years—every time I read his updated posts, it greatly eases my anxiety.

The core group focuses on job-seeking sharing, with additional communities covering faculty applications, AP discussions, reviewing, and conference social events.

Group Series

Main Job-Seeking Group – Groups 1-12 synchronously distribute full-time jobs, internships, and referrals in CS/ML/DS in North America. Members post with contact info or LinkedIn screenshot. Job seekers can indicate their interests in their names to be found by companies.

Faculty Applications – Members anonymously report Zoom-to-on-site progress at various schools, cross-check interview timelines; the group archives question banks, sample materials, and full-process guides. Open only to current-cycle applicants.

AP Exchange – An exclusive circle for current or soon-to-be APs, discussing enrollment, funding, teaching, summer salary, policy differences across schools, AE nominations, and other practical topics.

Reviewing Opportunities – Sub-review invites for journals and top conferences are posted here. Interested members submit their name, affiliation, and email to claim a paper and build reviewing experience.

Conference Social – Organize offline meals and meetups during ICML, NeurIPS, ACL, etc., bringing professors and industry people together, sometimes with VC participation for entrepreneurship-themed events, extending the online community to the real world.
