WAIT. This is actually insane.
170+ people on r/ClaudeAI just shared the MCPs they actually use every day, and the thread is basically a list of people quietly automating their jobs away.
→ Atlassian MCP: people hand Claude an epic and it writes every story, fills in the descriptions, and drops them into the right sprint → Granola + Todoist + Calendar: meetings prep themselves and the follow-ups happen on their own → Home Assistant: people don’t touch their smart home settings anymore, they just ask Claude → Playwright for anything that happens in a browser → Power BI through Microsoft’s own Fabric skills: it audits reports and writes DAX for you
I went through the whole thread, and honestly the takeaway is simple. Nobody is automating the fun parts of their work. Everyone is automating the boring stuff they were paid to tolerate.
If some part of your week feels like a chore, there’s probably an MCP for it already.
