Use.ai provider scam

PSA: avoid use.ai — $1.70 "trial" turned into a $39.99 charge with no reminder, and the premium plan gave me 2 flagship responses Signed up for their trial back on Sep 14. It was $1.70 so I figured why not. The welcome email did mention it renews at $39.99/month, I'll give them that. Then Oct 5 I get an email saying "your plan has been updated" — that's the $39.99 charge hitting my card. Same day. No heads up beforehand, no "hey your trial's ending" email, nothing. Just the charge. Here's the kicker. I actually tried using the premium plan those two days. Got exactly two responses out of their flagship model (Opus 5.5) before hitting the usage cap. Two. For forty fucking bucks. Cancelled on Oct 7, two days after the charge. Their confirmation basically says "cool, no refunds though" — their actual policy is literally "no refunds for partial subscription periods." Emailed their billing team asking for a refund. We'll see. And apparently this is just what they do. Found a Trustpilot review from February describing the exact same thing — trial, silent renewal, found out from the bank statement. use.ai replied to THAT one saying the refund was "already approved" and processed within hours. So they can refund, they just do it when people complain in public. There's also some site collecting like 25+ reports of the same billing pattern. The reason I'm posting this here: these guys buy top sponsored placement whenever you search for AI tools. That's literally how I found them — I thought it was a top result. Figured the warning belongs where people will actually see it before clicking. If you try the trial anyway, set a calendar reminder to cancel. You've been warned.
