How do we finally defeat the pro-aging trance?
Aubrey de Grey coined that term for the weird mental spell where people defend aging just because it has always happened.
Not wisdom. Not acceptance. A coping mechanism.
Aging is accumulated damage, frailty, pain, dementia, dependency and the slow theft of everything people love doing.
We don’t romanticize cancer. We don’t call Alzheimer’s “natural beauty.” So why do we suddenly become poets when the killer is aging itself?
The real challenge is not only scientific.
It’s psychological.
We have to make people see aging as a problem to solve, not a sacred tragedy to decorate with nice quotes.
