What is this subreddit's opinion on pacing the frontier, really?

Reddit r/ArtificialInteligence News

Summary

A Reddit user questions the mixed reactions in the r/artificialinteligence subreddit to Dario Amodei's advice on pacing AI development and Mark Zuckerberg's rejection of an AI slowdown, highlighting a perceived contradiction in community opinions.

I'm wondering if people's issue with Dario's pace the frontier is that he, a CEO of an AI company said it. There was a post today called "Mark Zuckerberg rejects calls for industrywide AI slowdown". You would think that with the strong negative reaction to Dario's "pace the frontier" advice, that Zuckerberg's rejection of Dario's idea would be met with cheers by the users of r/artificialinteligence. Strangely also no... I'm just wondering how this subreddit manages to think both pacing the frontier is stupid and not stupid. I don't think there's been a clear and direct answer to this. It feels like a walking contradiction that no one really is addressing.
