I tested 5.6 Terra for writing optimized C++ code and functions. And I'm shocked. Its edited about 30 files and wrote 2,000 lines of code. I spent about an hour checking it all. I couldn't find a single error; it perfectly mimicked even my programming style. We are finished guys...

Summary

The author tested an AI model, 5.6 Terra, for writing optimized C++ code and was shocked by its ability to edit 30 files and write 2,000 lines of error-free code that mimicked their programming style, leading to estimates of 5x to 10x productivity increases.

So, if we're saying that agent-based AI is already capable of writing code at the level of a senior C++ programmer with good senior programmer guidance, I'm honestly a bit shocked. This talk about AI increasing productivity by 2.5 times seems to be the result of improper use of AI, a misunderstanding of how to build a modular architecture with layers and events, and how to properly guide AI. Right now, I estimate the productivity increase for me with AI will be 5x, maybe 10x. If the context gets overwhelmed, I can tear down that model and start from scratch, just using my documentation files and the branched model system in my C++ architecture so that the new model can start writing functions again even with a small context.
