If AGI or ASI actually arrives, which jobs do you think survive it?

Summary

The article discusses which jobs would survive the arrival of AGI or ASI, focusing on roles involving authority, human preference, and legal accountability.

We talk a lot about which jobs AI will take. I am curious about the other side. But here is the thing, if we are assuming true AGI, capability arguments fall apart. A superintelligent system does surgery better than any human. Planes already fly themselves. So the question is not what AI can't do. It is what humans won't hand over. My take, three things survive. Power. Politicians, CEOs, generals, judges. People with authority don't automate themselves. The ones deciding get to keep their seats. Preference. We want a human therapist, a human teacher for our kids, a human on stage. Artists, dancers, performers, religious leaders. AI can generate the painting, but people pay to watch a person perform. And astrologers. Here in India at least, people want a person reading their chart, not an app. Accountability. Someone has to be legally on the hook when things go wrong, and that has to be a person. A company, a surgeon signing off, a pilot in the seat. Not because the AI needs help, but because blame needs an address. What is your list? What am I missing?
