@FinanceYF5: Nebius hits $3B annualized revenue — is it a bubble? Explained in 8 minutes Just three months ago, Nebius's annualized revenue was $1.9 billion. Now it's $3 billion. Yet just last week, peer CoreWeave plunged 15% in a single day. The GPU cloud isn't the next AWS — it's the landlord business of the AI era: rent is real, but the buildings are built with borrowed money. Those multi-hundred-billion-dollar contracts, backlogs, and secured power deals are mostly leases and land, not revenue. https://t.co/WqM9RV1xya

The backlog jumped from $15B to $50B in three months, with the extra $35B coming from a single Anthropic deal. The orders are real and the buyer can afford them — but...
Silicon Valley GPU cloud provider Lambda saw its backlog surge from $15 billion to $50 billion in just three months ahead of its final pre-IPO funding round, with roughly $35 billion coming from a large Anthropic deal; however, the first deliveries aren't due until 2027, and the valuation has already priced in these expectations.
@WinForKakei: Let me use Tencent as an example. Tencent's 2025 capex is even lower than guidance. As clearly stated in last year's earnings call, this is because they couldn't buy NVIDIA GPUs (due to AI chip supply constraints) and were unwilling to buy domestic chips. Of course, they compromised this year and have started ordering Kunlun chips. Actually, Pony Ma is not as Zen or content with being a latecomer as people say...
The article discusses Tencent's AI capex constraints due to NVIDIA chip shortages and its recent shift to using Kunlun chips, analyzing the company's valuation and strategic positioning in the AI landscape.
