I never reallyunderstood the hype behind Apple AirTag trackers until I started testing them for work\. I've since started singing their praises to anyone who will listen\. Right now, a[second\-generation AirTag](https://www.wired.com/story/apple-second-generation-airtag-2026/)can be yours for just $23\. They usually sell for $29 apiece, and while this deal price isn't exceedingly rare, it does match the lowest discount we've tracked\. My fellow Reviews team members love using these quarter\-sized gadgets for tracking suitcases down while traveling\. In the event that your luggage is left behind due to an airline error, as happened to editor[Kat Merck](https://www.wired.com/author/kat-merck/), you'll be able to go straight to customer service rather than trying to track it down in a panic\. Or, in my case, you can stash one in your car to remember which block you parked on a few days ago when it's time to move your vehicle again\. Pop one on your keys, your diaper bag, your purse, or your dog's collar, and you'll be able to track the AirTag's location from your Find My app\. The batteries last for months and are easy to replace\. The AirTag also has an impressively loud speaker inside, so you can ping your item's location with an audible alert\. You can even share its location with airlines or your contacts so others can help you find something if it's misplaced\. Peace of mind is priceless, but today you can pick it up for $23\. You might want to consider an AirTag holder, too—my buying guide is coming soon, but[I use this option from Nomad](https://cna.st/affiliate-link/8R1h8mj7jPeeTf4TYpinQLZEZfT2gx7Edrerua4CHMvnv6W6bMetbGcNM371Uzg9bHy9VHNPDqr2tp82GYjZdQaJSbx1aDDVyxzuzG4ksgex3J4WTYpPfhbziBUxa7kxZBCymTawD6yG1iP4FUbEKtd3BQGcSaPhS98aCDorLPazTJiM964gwvQvemHygLGnTcR2BuN9vR53w4uNDtj6cmuFq4c9nncohYeafC1gG8kc1phntn8HDP31ZrJkCHbiYYLJDB9L6Q8W8DoST9zktyviq8Zw6VWWX5eo9ijTzK7Q9ez8Ky41YWNuLGrPYQPWUPEDYbUCPWtzHM6ep6rsD2Nia9CxQgPC4LMqdGNw5u)for my keychain and like it a lot\. --- **[*Power up with unlimited access to*WIRED](https://www.wired.com/v2/offers/wir_generic_ctrl?source=Site_0_HCL_WIR_EDIT_HARDCODED_0_COMMERCE_AFFILIATE_ZZ)*\.****Get best\-in\-class reporting and exclusive subscriber content that's too important to ignore\.[Subscribe Today](https://www.wired.com/v2/offers/wir_generic_ctrl?source=Site_0_HCL_WIR_EDIT_HARDCODED_0_COMMERCE_AFFILIATE_ZZ)\.* [](https://www.wired.com/author/louryn-strampe/) [Louryn Strampe](https://www.wired.com/author/louryn-strampe/)is a product writer and reviewer at WIRED covering[deals](https://www.wired.com/story/early-black-friday-deals-2025-1/),[beauty](https://www.wired.com/gallery/best-beauty-subscription-boxes/),[home goods](https://www.wired.com/gallery/best-down-comforters/), and[gifts](https://www.wired.com/gallery/best-gift-ideas-for-teens/)\.
