Abstract
Interactiveworldmodelsrequirerespondinginrealtimetoversatilecontrolsandmaintaininglong-horizonconsistency.However,modelingheterogeneouscontrolsremainsdifficult,whileexplosivecontextsandunstabledistillationimpedeachievingbothlong-horizonconsistencyandreal-timeresponsiveness.Inthispaper,wepresentWorldPlay2,aninteractiveworldmodelthatcouplesafactorizedhybridcontrolinterfacewithaco-designofcompressedmemoryandstabledistillation.1)Ourfactorizedhybridcontrolinterfaceintegratesframe-alignedactioncontrolwithstructuredsemanticcontrolthatexplicitlydisentanglessceneappearance,characteridentity,anddynamicsemanticevents,therebyfacilitatingeffectivecontrollearning.2)Toachieveefficientlong-horizonmodeling,wecompresshistoricalcontextsintocompactmemorytokenssharedbytheautoregressivestudentandthebidirectionalteacher.Thisdesignenablesclip-wise,memory-conditionedscoreevaluationinsteadofjointlyprocessinganentirelongrollout,substantiallyreducingdistillationoverhead.3)WefurtherproposeStableForcing,whichinitializestheautoregressivestudentviaafew-stepstrategyandleveragesfull-rolloutreplaytopreservethequalityoflong-horizonrollouts,ensuringrobustandstabledistillation.Extensiveexperimentsdemonstratethestronggeneralizabilityofourmodelanditssuperiorperformancecomparedtoexistingmethods.
