Verdant is building the modern tech infrastructure for local government, starting with permitting software.
Permit and entitlement review takes too long. Applicants often apply with incomplete or incorrect information, triggering rounds of back-and-forth with the government. And once complete materials are finally in, understaffed local governments can’t review them fast enough.
Verdant dramatically cuts that review time. We help applicants file complete, compliant applications upfront, then help staff review them. Our AI reads documents, plans, and diagrams, flags issues, and drafts the report, so staff spend their time on judgment, not paperwork.
Founders Aidan Ng and Jason Yi initially connected over their shared passion for improving local government processes. After years in and around government, they interviewed 200+ local government staff and heard the same answer again and again: permitting is where the pain is most acute and the software has done the least to help.
