After 7 Days of Hard Work, We Open-Sourced the Tencent WorkBuddy Practical Blue Book (Recommended to Save)

Hello everyone, I’m Cang He, fully back in action.

Recently, OpenAI merged Codex with ChatGPT. Codex might just be a transitional product on OpenAI’s path to AGI.

The demand for Agent Coding is still relatively small; the real big demand lies in office-oriented Work. In this regard, Tencent might have a clearer vision than OpenAI, as the name WorkBuddy also suggests.

More and more people are using WorkBuddy, but there aren’t really detailed practical tutorials out there yet. Of course, except for the official documentation, but few people directly browse the official site for tutorials.

A while ago, together with Liu Cong, Jia Mu, Daishu Di, and Moyu Xiaoli, I attended an event in Beijing. We discussed this matter and decided to collaborate on a WorkBuddy Practical Blue Book.

After 7 days of intense work, today, we have officially open-sourced the WorkBuddy Practical Blue Book.

We even bought a domain and deployed a website on Cloudflare. You can now access our site from anywhere in the world.

GitHub open-source address:

These past few days, we’ve been working like squeezed little donkeys, staying up on calls for several nights. It seems simple, but there are quite a lot of details to handle.

Haha, we’re also humbly asking for a star—it’s the biggest support for us.

Previously, I created CodexGuide, which has already earned 2.6k stars on GitHub.

Now we have 5 full user groups, and many people have expressed interest in a WorkBuddy tutorial. Well, here it is!

The entire Practical Blue Book is divided into 4 sections: User Manual, Practical Cases, Advanced System, and Roles & Industries.

To be honest, the part we invested the most effort in is the Practical Cases, which we also consider the most valuable.

Many of the cases are our own practical experiences. For example, using WorkBuddy for knowledge management is one of my personal practices.

In WorkBuddy, Cang He has joined two expert teams: the AI Video Creation Team and the Video Analysis Expert Team.

The AI Video Creation Team has already been used 27,900 times.

In the WorkBuddy Practical Blue Book, we’ve included the case of how to use this expert team, making it more convenient for everyone.

Recently, Cang He’s GEO expert was also listed on WorkBuddy, and it has already been used 16,500 times.

Now in the WorkBuddy Practical Blue Book, you can also see how to use this GEO expert. Plus, the website has the advantage of being able to update with new content immediately.

A few days ago, our Wuhan AI Circle and Tencent Cloud jointly held the WorkBuddy Demo Day. I found that many people are already secretly using WorkBuddy to boost their office efficiency. For example, a lawyer uses WorkBuddy to organize litigation cases.

For different roles, we also created a WorkBuddy role roadmap, making it easy to understand how different positions can deeply leverage WorkBuddy.

PS: Of course, if you have more industry implementation experience, feel free to submit a PR to us to supplement the excellent case library.

In the appendix, we also added some common command templates. This section is mainly for beginners. When you download WorkBuddy and don’t know how to use it, take a look at this section—it’s all about being straightforward and easy.

Now WorkBuddy has more and more experts and skills; you can’t finish scrolling even after a long time.

Sometimes, finding the corresponding skill for a specific scenario isn’t very convenient. So, finally, we added a scenario quick reference table in the appendix, allowing you to quickly look up different capabilities for different scenarios.

Here’s a sneaky method: you can even directly throw our website or GitHub to WorkBuddy, let it memorize this quick reference table, and recommend the right skill at the right time.

Finally, if you have good WorkBuddy cases, feel free to submit a PR to us and help maintain this open-source project together.

Last but not least, make sure to star it, haha.
