But today I happened to be consulting with an enterprise client who hadn't really tried AI before and didn't know what an AI workflow is. Explaining it verbally was too abstract—Agent, automation, AI coding, workflow orchestration—after a while it all sounds like buzzwords. So I just opened UU Remote on my iPad, connected back to my computer, called OpenCode in the remote terminal, and ran through a demo for the boss right there: I dumped in his requirements, had the AI break down the business process, then generated a plan based on the scenario, modified code, and showed the execution results. Why UU Remote? Because it's free. Why OpenCode? Because I've integrated it with a free model. After all, who knows if this deal will close—I want to keep the upfront demo costs low and be careful with tokens, right? But the effect was actually great. The boss didn't just watch a PPT or listen to me talk concepts; he saw the AI running tasks in my real computer environment. If it got stuck at a step, I'd continue operating on my iPad; if I needed to check logs, I used UU Remote's terminal feature to skip the GUI and work via command line—direct, fast, and data-efficient; to see results, I'd switch back to the remote desktop. My biggest takeaway: I can leave the computer behind, but the work on my computer can't stop. OpenCode, project environments, files—all on my computer, with the iPad serving as just an entry point. When a client threw out a last-minute request on-site, I'd hop on UU Remote, check where OpenCode was, tweak a couple of lines, and switch back to the desktop to see the result. For me, it's not a tool that's 'packed with fancy features'—it simply solves a real problem: I'm not at my computer, but I can still keep using the AI workflow running on it. Plus, it's free, no pop-ups, so for scenarios like early-stage client meetings where the deal isn't certain, I can use it without any mental burden.
